The following was an update on the condition of Toronto Hydro’s electrical system as of 3 p.m. Wednesday July 10, 2013:
Power has been restored to almost all customers affected by Hydro One’s Manby station.
Approximately 600 customers remain without power with more localized outages (i.e. tree branches). Emergency crews are working hard to restore them.
Until Hydro One rebuilds its Manby Station in the west end, the situation will remain tenuous. This work is expected to take at least a week. Electricity conservation remains crucial at this time to ensure the stability of the system. We’d appreciate you continuing to stress the importance of conservation to your constituents.
