Thank you to everyone who expressed interest and/or attended the first meeting of the
Sub Committee on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation at City Hall. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss critical action plans and directives for the City of Toronto.
Climate Change is one of the most important issues of our time. The City of Toronto has established a goal of greenhouse gas emission reductions of 80% by 2050. The Subcommittee will provide advice on the development of City of Toronto environmental policies and programs.
The Staff Report, which lays out the Terms of Reference and proposed work plan for the
Sub Committee will be presented at the April 15th Parks and Environment Committee meeting: www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2015/pe/bgrd/backgroundfile-78669.pdf.
If you are interested in submitting written comments or delivering a deputation in person at the Committee meeting, please contact Committee Administrator Carol Kaustinen by phone at 416-338-5089 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
