On July 15, St. Joseph’s Health Centre’s new Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) Patient Care Wing will be opened officially for patient care!!!
This brand new, spacious, four-storey building offers 130,000 square feet of brand new care space for our patients and their families. This is the first new building for St. Joe’s in over 30 years and marks a major milestone for our community.
The new wing will be home to our state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, expanded Family Birthing Centre (to accommodate up to 4,000 births a year – 1,000 more than we can now) and a new Paediatrics Unit to care for kids of all ages. Also housed in the new wing is our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and three new adult inpatient areas with a total of 92 beds.
The completion of the new patient care wing builds on St. Joe’s commitment to enhance the health of communities we serve. With a state-of-the-art facility and the dedication of our staff, physicians and volunteers, we can continue in our tradition of delivering compassionate, patient and family-centred care – for the communities we care for today and for generations of families to come.
