Construction Notice

Disruptions
As with all construction projects, there will be noise and temporary inconveniences. In order to complete the work effectively and in a safe manner, some pedestrian and traffic restrictions will be necessary. These include lane closures on Parkside Drive during construction, which will reduce traffic on Parkside Drive to one lane in each direction. The contractor will notify you of any additional temporary disruptions. Every effort will be made to reduce the inconvenience. The City appreciates your understanding and co-operation.

TTC Service
TTC transit will continue on Parkside Drive, as all bus and streetcar routes will be maintained during construction.
Parking Restrictions & Allowances
Construction may require temporary closure of private driveways (lasting 1-2 days). Where the property has two entrances, one entrance will be kept open at all times. Further notice will be given prior to the temporary closure.
Temporary on-street parking restrictions will be in effect for Parkside Drive on a block by block basis. Notice will be provided prior to temporary restrictions. Residents should not park their vehicles where on-street parking is strictly prohibited such as in a zone designated as No Parking Anytime, restricted time of day for rush hour routes, snow routes, diamond lanes, etc.

Boulevard Work
Property owners in the affected area are reminded to remove any privately owned items from the boulevard. The City will not be responsible for damage to any privately owned items installed on the City’s property.
