Opportunity for Youth to Attend This Year's Spur Festival!

Spur Toronto Event
Spur is a national festival of politics, art and ideas and is a catalyst for change in Canada.

Through nationally relevant and locally nuanced discussions, presentations and performances, the festival seeks to spur its participants to action on issues affecting Canadians. Feisty, multi-partisan, forward-looking and solution-driven, this national railway of ideas will provide Canada with vital new cultural infrastructure for the 21st century.

HOW DO I BECOME A SPUR YOUNG SCHOLAR?

If you are Grade 11 or 12 student making decisions about your post-secondary education and want to join us on Tuesday April 7th – just send us an email now at:scholars@spurfestival.ca. Tell us a bit about yourself and why you are interested in expanding your academic horizons – or just what interests you. Feel free to ask us any questions you have about the SYS program, the Spur Festival or what YOU THINK are the important issues of the day. Once you have registered we will forward a calendar of course options for you to choose from. The courses will fill upon a first-come-first-served basis.

If you are an Educator or Guidance Counsellor and would like to bring a group or class to the Spur Young Scholars program, please contact Michael Booth directly at m.booth@reviewcanada.ca or by phone at 416-531-1483. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the program, the selection of courses on offer, or connect you with fellow educators who brought students to last year’s SYS Day.

The Spur Young Scholars program is supported and facilitated by the LRC and our many partners at the University of Toronto, its constituent colleges, departments and faculties.
