How to Make Awesome Things Happen in Your Neighbourhood

Jode Roberts, communications strategist for the David Suzuki Foundation,
will provide insights into effective community organizing based on his
decade of experience managing media, branding and outreach efforts,
including the Homegrown National Park Project.

Jode is a writer, painter, beekeeper and schemer. By day, he is a
wordsmith and strategist, bringing nature to the city through the
Homegrown National Park Project, and shilling milkweed on behalf of
Monarch butterflies. Most recently, he has begun installing planetary
wayfinding signs in Toronto neighbourhoods as part of the Walkable
Planets project.

WHERE: Howard Park Tennis Club, 430 Parkside Drive; the first light
south of Bloor from Keele, a short walk from Keele Station. It’s the
