Final Staff Report for the 2946-2968 Dundas Street West zoning application

On Wednesday, February 24 the Toronto and East York Community Council will be reviewing the Final Staff Report on the zoning bylaw amendment for 2946-2968 Dundas Street West (the properties on the north-east corner of Dundas and Pacific). This application proposes to construct an 8-storey mixed-use building with 120 dwelling units, including 8 rental replacement units, 1,973 square metres of retail space and 1,660 square metres of office space.

Following a review of the application as well as two community meetings, City Planning Staff recommend approval of the application. Councillor Perks supports the recommendations made by staff.

At the same meeting, Councillor will be reviewing Heritage Toronto’s recommendation that 2946 Dundas Street West (the William Rowntree Block) be added to the Heritage Registry, to protect the buildings façade.
