Dufferin Street Bridge Remains Closed to Pedestrians & Cyclists

Our office has received word that the Metrolinx work on the Dufferin Street Bridge has been extended due to vandalism of machinery.

The re-opening of the bridge to pedestrians and cyclists has been further delayed.

My office will provide a further update on the Metrolinx work and the expected date of reopening as we receive information from Metrolinx.

Pedestrians who want to walk to Exhibition Place can access the grounds via Atlantic Avenue.

The City of Toronto closed the Dufferin Street Bridge to pedestrians and cyclists on October 9th at 10:00PM. The closure was to enable Metrolinx to complete maintenance work on the underside of the bridge, which spans the GO Transit/Metrolinx rail corridor. The bridge will remain closed to vehicle traffic until further notice.

Thank you for your patience.
