Councillor Adam Giambrone and I held a community information meeting on Wednesday November 14th, at the Alexander Muir Public School to discuss the current status of the Dufferin Jog Elimination Project.
As some of you may be aware, the Dufferin Jog Elimination project has a long standing history in the community. A series of public meetings began in 1991 for the Class C Environmental Assessment Process, and in the year 2000, findings of the environmental assessment were presented for review before design began. The purpose of the meeting was to provide information on where the project is at this stage in the process, which is nearing completion. It was also an opportunity for community members and stakeholders to provide their feedback on design elements (outside of the structural components), as well as an opportunity for a discussion to commence about public art installations. City staff from several departments and senior staff from Delcan were also available to answer questions.
For those of you who could not attend, I am attaching the presentation slides provided by Delcan that were reviewed at this meeting. Please be advised that I will be posting minutes of the meeting on my blog site as soon as they are coordinated with Councillor Giambrone’s staff.
Should you have any questions, or want to be on my mailing list for this project, please do not hesitate to contact my office. I will continue to keep you posted as this project proceeds.
