Proposed 625 Runnymede Road Development at TEYCC on July 16

The Final Staff Report for the proposed development at 625 Runnymede Road (the addition to the Runnymede Healthcare Centre) has been released.  This report calls for the approval of proposal to construct a five-storey, 200-bed long-term care addition to the existing four-storey Runnymede Health Care Centre.

This item will be considered at the Toronto East York Community Council (TEYCC) on July 16, followed by City Council on July 28.  Councillor Perks supports the recommendations made by staff. The agenda item coming to TEYCC is available on line:

1488 Queen Street West Development Update

The Preliminary Staff Report on the rezoning application of 1488 Queen Street West will be considered at Toronto and East York Community Council on Thursday, July 16th, 2020.  http://app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgendaItemHistory.do?item=2020.TE16.27

The rezoning application proposes to amend the City’s Zoning By-laws with a 6-storey building for 1488 Queen St West, current site of Guardian Drugs.  The application proposes 190 m2 of non –residential gfa with 29 residential dwelling units and 3 parking space. Information on the application is available on-line at the City’s Application Information Centre, http://app.toronto.ca/AIC/index.do .

The Preliminary Staff Report recommends a community consultation meeting. City Planning staff will notify neighbouring residents when a meeting date and virtual format is secured. My office will provide general notice throughout Ward 4.
