2019 TTC Public Forum on Accessible Transit

You are invited to attend the TTC’s annual Public Forum on Accessible Transit, which will take place on Wednesday September 25, 2019, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Beanfield Centre at Exhibition Place, 105 Princes’ Boulevard. The purpose of the Forum is to update customers about TTC accessibility initiatives, including the Wheel-Trans 10-Year Strategy, Family of Services, Travel Training Pilot Program, and the Easier Access project, and gather feedback about possible improvements to the TTC’s accessible conventional and specialized services.
The Public Forum includes:
- 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm – Special Meeting of the TTC Board
- 6 pm to 7 pm – Display area for one-on-one interaction with attendees
- 7 pm to 9 pm – Brief presentation from TTC staff on the progress and status of TTC accessibility initiatives followed by a Q&A session

City-Wide Study on Existing City of Toronto Off-Leash Areas

Parks, Forestry and Recreation is leading an interdivisional study to examine how the City’s Off-Leash Areas (OLAs) can be reimagined to better harmonize with existing park uses and provide a satisfying user experience. The study is a follow-up to the Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan recommendation to develop criteria for improving existing dog off-leash areas. More information is available here.
