The Toronto Police Service is accepting applications for the and need your help in spreading the word to all eligible candidates.
This After-School employment initiative focuses on diverse youth between the ages of 15 to 18, who reside in the Neighbourhood Improvement Areas within the City of Toronto. The Toronto Police Service is seeking to employ 63 youth from September to December to work with our members in the 17 Police Divisions within the Service. The core responsibilities include; working together with members of the Community Response Unit to assist with community events, crime prevention, community outreach initiatives, after-school projects with School Resource Officers and administrative duties.
This After-School Program will build on the success of the existing Youth in Policing summer program. Youth will have the opportunity to see the daily police operations from an internal perspective, interact with police officers on a personal level, gain hands on job experience and be able to familiarize themselves with the roles and responsibilities of being a Toronto Police Service employee.
The Youth in Policing Initiative After-School Program is a unique opportunity in Toronto. If you know or work with youth who may be interested in working with the Toronto Police Service part-time during the school year, please encourage them to apply.
