City Staff are approaching completion of the temporary vehicle bridges on Dufferin Street over the Metrolinx/GO Transit Rail Corridor.
There are a few tasks to complete requiring dry weather at +5 degrees (paving and line marking).
If all goes well, the temporary bridges may be open as early as this week.
On Sunday, April 6, 2014, police were called to the leash-free dog park at 275 Keele Street (Baird Park).
Police attended and located several pieces of chocolate that had been scattered within the fenced area of the park.
Studies indicate that some forms of chocolate may be harmful or fatal for dogs.
City officials closed the dog park, pending further investigation. After a thorough cleaning this morning Parks Staff have reopened the Baird Dogs Off Leash Area.
Staff will increase regular inspections of the Dogs Off Leash Area but ask that park users pay extra attention to their environment.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1100, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637), or Leave A Tip on Facebook.
