The Ward 14 Environment Day Is Just Over A Week Away

Mark your calendars!

Councillor Gord Perks and the City of Toronto are holding a Community Environment Day on Saturday, July 7th, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, Sorauren Park, along Wabash  Avenue (for a map to the park see: Soruaren Park – Ward 14)



The days activities include:


  • Free compost (limited supply, so come early)
  • Drop off old materials for recycling such as small electronics and household hazardous waste.


  • Pick up or exchange of green bins and kitchen containers.


  • Donation of supplies for schools and Goodwill.


  • Information booths and more.

The 14th Annual Parkdale Film + Video Showcase

The 14th Annual Parkdale Film + Video Showcase will take place on June 21 – 24, 2012. The Parkdale Film + Video Showcase is an annual summer celebration of the incredible artists and audiences who live and work in Parkdale, featuring pay-what-you-can film and video screenings, installations, performances, and workshops held throughout Toronto’s most creative neighbourhood.

Roncy Rocks! Saturday, June 16th, 10am – 6pm

Roncy Rocks! is an annual day-long celebration of art, music and culture in Roncesvalles Village. On Saturday June 16 2012 we’ll be bringing it all to the street between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.



Come out and support our local shops, see the work of some great artists, listen to tons of great bands, and watch short by films local filmmakers.
