City of Toronto Seniors Strategy
Posted on June 8, 2012
City of Toronto launches online consultation for Seniors Strategy:
“The number of seniors living in Toronto will increase dramatically during the next decade. The City of Toronto is working with the Toronto Seniors Forum and other key partners to create a Seniors Strategy intended to help ensure that Toronto remains a safe, affordable, accessible and enjoyable city for people of all ages. Individuals and groups are encouraged to use the City’s online Consultation Workbook to have a voice in the creation of the Seniors Strategy.
The Consultation Workbook poses questions to stimulate thought, discussion and input on matters such as housing, health, recreation, community programs, transportation, diversity, accessibility, safety/security and civic engagement. The public input will help to identify service priorities and may include innovative ideas to ensure Toronto’s seniors have what they need at each stage of their lives.
The City will accept submissions through the online workbook until September 30. Residents can participate by visiting the toronto.ca/seniors website at http://www.toronto.ca/seniors to use the Consultation Workbook.”
