The OMO Dance Company is pleased to announce the inaugural year of their Community Access Program which has been designed specifically to provide affordable dance programs to underserved communities.Diary of an Exile is a two-hour three-act program (including two intermissions) that was developed over a three year period (2003-06). This nine-member production (three actors and six dancers) examines man’s search for identity and belonging and was inspired by the students of Nelson Mandela Public School in Toronto who are a high risk body of children having come from broken homes, living in a depressed economic community and dealing with constant exposure to man’s destructive behavior (crime, drug use, alcoholism, etc.).
