The Traffic Lights at King Street West and Close Avenue are now activated! This is great news.
A request to review the King and Close intersection to Transportation Services to review the pedestrian crossing at King and Close. After completing their study, Transportation Staff recommended that the existing Pedestrian Cross Over (PXO) be removed and changed to traffic lights (http://app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgendaItemHistory.do?item=2017.TE24.56).
Please note that if you wish to cross, pedestrians should press the button to activate the signal. When pedestrians press the button to cross, the maximum time of 28 seconds will be initiated. If the button is not pressed, the pedestrian signal lights will not be activated.
Also – please stay tuned for the activation of the traffic lights at Dundas Street West and Ritchie Avenue.
