Join the High Park Steward as they plant a variety of native plants that thrive in the park’s black oak savannah! The Boulevard Beds group will also work to improve the demonstration garden.

Late summer is perfect for viewing native species like goldenrods, asters, and native grasses. It is also a great time for planting native perennials, like smooth rose, cylindrical blazing star, cup plant, Joe Pye weed, black-eyed Susan, butterfly milkweed, harebell, wild bergamot, sky-blue aster, cardinal flower, great blue lobelia; grasses, like Indian, bottlebrush, little and big bluestem, Canada wild rye; and shrubs, like wild raspberry.
Meet the team in front of the Grenadier Restaurant at 10:30 am, and go together to the site. All tools will be provided.
