35 Wabash Update

At the latest Toronto and East York Community Council Meeting, the Construction Staging Report for 35 Wabash Avenue was amended and approved. The Report can be viewed on-line at:  http://app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgendaItemHistory.do?item=2017.TE22.47

The Construction Staging plan was originally reviewed by the 35 Wabash Community Working Group with Councillor Perks and City Planning Staff when it was submitted by the developer in October, 2016.

TEYCC has approved the closure of the south sidewalk and curb lane on Wabash Avenue for a period of 20 months to accommodate the building of a 4-storey residential condominium building with one level of underground parking at 35 Wabash Avenue.

To enable construction, the applicant had requested that 5.8 metres of the south curb lane and sidewalk on Wabash Avenue flanking the site be closed and pedestrians be redirected into a protected covered walk way within the closed south curb lane. The original plan would have resulted in the removal of 12 permit parking spaces on the south side of Wabash Avenue.  The request was amended at TEYCC to tighten the application to impact 6 permit parking spaces
