Parkdale People’s Economy will be hosting a community meeting at PARC (1499 Queen Street West) next Monday April 30th from 6PM – 8PM.

The meeting is a chance for community members to get involved in one of their seven different Working Groups and help advance the Parkdale Community Plan.

Join your neighbours and local community organizations to advance neighbourhood planning in Parkdale!

  • Work together to build a healthy and just neighbourhood
  • Share your thoughts and expertise about your community
  • Learn more about working groups, resident grants, and
    community activities happening in Parkdale

Free food, childcare, and translation services!
TTC tickets will be provided upon request.

Environment Day & Compost Pick-Up – April 28, 2018

The City’s annual Community Environment Day is back! It will be held on Saturday, April 28th, 2018, from 10am – 2pm at Sorauren Park along Wabash Ave, south of Dundas Street West.

As well on April 28th, at 10am, compost will be available to be picked up, free of charge and while supplies last, at 2 locations – Sorauren Park and 285 Indian Rd. Crescent.

Overnight Permit Parking Survey and Consultation Meetings

In October 2017, Toronto and East York Community Council directed City staff to solicit feedback from residents on the proposal to provide Overnight Residential On-street Permit Parking on streets that do not have permit parking in Toronto and East York District.

We invite you to share your opinion by taking this survey here

The same information from the online survey will be presented at the meetings.

High Park Nursery and Boulevard Beds Spring Cleanup

Celebrate Earth Day with the High Park Stewards as we start maintenance and fencing of the boulevard beds in front of the Grenadier Restaurant, and continue the native plant nursery cleanup.

You may go directly to the nursery if you know where it is. Otherwise, meet us in front of the Grenadier Restaurant at 10:30 am. We will work until 12:30 pm. All tools will be provided.

This will be an opportunity to review details of proposed plans for the site. A Question and Answer session will follow.

Exhibition Place Walking Tour

The walking tour called “Exploring Exhibition Place through the Eyes of the Community” is a 1.5-2 hours walking tour of the Exhibition Place grounds led by Bruce Van Dieten, a member of the community. It will touch on various architectural and historical highlights of the site. Tours will begin at the Princes’ Gates.

Tours will take place at 1pm on the following days (all Sundays):
