11 Brock Ave. (former LCBO) is City-Owned land that is going to become affordable housing. However, the City has not yet announced what type of affordable housing will be built, who it will serve, and how it might respond to community needs. In anticipation of this unique opportunity, the Parkdale Neighbourhood Land Trust (PNLT) is gathering recommendations from residents on how this project can best respond to community needs and aspirations. The focus of the conversation will be on the needs of senior housing, supportive housing and affordable family housing.

The event will commence with a short presentation by local residents about recent planning initiatives and the need for affordable housing. Residents will then have the chance to participate in break out discussion groups, where recommendations and collective visions for this site will be documented. The results of this workshop will be synthesized by PNLT and submitted to the City.
